The purpose of anotice or reminder issued by an employer concerning an employee's failure to comply with a company rule or policyis to denounce in writing the behavior complained of, which contravenes a rule or policy of which the employee has already been informed.
This document does not constitute a notice of sanction, but reminds the employee that he or she must comply at all times with the rule or policy he or she has violated.
The mainpurpose of this document is to leave a written record in the employee's file of his or her inappropriate behavior with regard to company rules or policies. The employer must add this notice or reminder, along with proof of its receipt by the employee, to the employee's file.
